Eden Tech is an Italian engineering company that designs, builds and services bespoke heavy-lifting and material-handling machines. Fifteen people, one workshop in the Veneto, and a way of working that goes back to 1953.

Seventy years ago the name Paolo De Nicola went onto machines that are still at work today — in ports, shipyards and construction sites around the world.
Many of the engineers who designed them learnt their trade there. They never stopped practising it: they carried it on at Eden Technology, then here at Eden Tech, and handed it down to the people who came after them. EDEN has stood for Ex De Nicola from the first day, and it still does — for the ones who were there, and for the ones who arrived later.
The descent is real, and it runs through people rather than through paperwork. What came down to us is a standard — never a catalogue, always one machine for one challenge; engineering as the way to meet it, not a product to be shipped. We still measure ourselves against it, and that is why we acquired the name: PAOLO DE NICOLA® is a European Union trade mark owned by Eden Tech Srl.
The mark is not a memory.

Eden Tech is an Italian manufacturing company specialising in the design, construction and after-sales service of special lifting and heavy-load handling machines. We carry forward a technical legacy built over seven decades of Italian industrial history.
Our team brings together professionals who shaped the sector — first at Paolo De Nicola, an international reference point since 1953, and then at Eden Technology, which from 2005 delivered landmark projects across four continents. Since 1953, more than a thousand machines and special equipment have been built under the Paolo De Nicola name — over 600 between 1987 and 2008 alone — and those machines have gone to more than 40 countries. Today that know-how lives on inside Eden Tech: in the same hands, with the same engineering rigour, and the same belief that a machine is only as good as the partnership behind it.
And today it is not only the know-how that carries on. Eden Tech is the owner of the Paolo De Nicola® trade mark: the identity our name was built from is now formally in our care, and we fly it as our own.

Our name is not arbitrary. EDEN means Ex De Nicola — the continuity with Paolo De Nicola is not just a story we tell, it is written into the company itself. Eden Technology first, Eden Tech today: every time a client reads our name, they are reading where the people in it come from.
For twenty years that history lived in four letters. Now it is written in full — and with it the duty that comes with a name people trusted for half a century.

Paolo De Nicola establishes itself as one of the world’s pioneers in special lifting, building cranes and handling machines for shipyards, civil infrastructure and heavy industry, and exporting Italian engineering across the world. For half a century, a benchmark for straddle carriers and bespoke lifting machines.
Senior engineers and managers from Paolo De Nicola found Eden Technology, advancing the craft with new technologies, modern design methods and a truly international reach: landmark projects in China, South Korea, France, Spain, Croatia, Germany, Malaysia, Qatar, Hong Kong, Norway, Greece, Thailand, Egypt, the Maldives, Mexico, Brazil, Uruguay, South Africa and the USA.
A reorganisation in continuity, with the same values and the same goals. As Eden Tech the work has carried on successfully: new machines designed, built and delivered for navies, coast guards, shipyards, tunnel contractors and industry in Europe, Asia, Africa and North America — with design, build and service under one roof in the Veneto.

From our works in Rosà we design, build and service bespoke machines for clients across Europe, Africa, Asia and North America — and we provide spare parts and service for the Paolo De Nicola and Eden Technology machines still in operation worldwide.

What sets Eden Tech apart from larger, more generic suppliers is a single-minded focus on bespoke engineering: never a catalogue, always one machine for one challenge. Every machine is designed around the constraint the customer cannot change — load capacity, working environment, terrain, power-supply limits, local assembly conditions — so the client receives the machine the job needs, not a standard product forced to fit.
Several of the people who designed and serviced machines built under the Paolo De Nicola and Eden Technology names work at Eden Tech today, and they bring that knowledge to every service job.

Keepers of a legacy — and of the name on it
Machines built under the Paolo De Nicola and Eden Technology names are still working today, in ports, marinas, shipyards and construction sites around the world. Eden Tech supports them: spare parts, technical assistance, inspections, upgrades and full revamping.
This is not a declaration of intent: over the years our team has carried out a great many interventions on Paolo De Nicola machines for their current owners, in Italy and abroad — revamping, steering and control upgrades, electric repowering, spare parts.
Choose the right power for today, and upgrade tomorrow
Every Eden Tech machine can be engineered in three drive configurations — diesel-hydraulic, hybrid electro-hydraulic, or fully electric with on-board battery pack. A Paolo De Nicola Marine Hoist 70 in Spain now runs on a water-cooled DC motor and a lithium battery, recharged from the yard’s photovoltaic plant — the structure kept, the power unit renewed.
